As the Queens Memory Outreach Coordinator and member of the Culture in Transit grant project (2015-2016), I facilitated mobile community digitization in Queens, NY. In addition to working with community libraries throughout the Queens Library system, I also developed partnerships with a wide variety of local organizations including Asian Americans for Equality, My Baryo, My Borough, the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council, and the Woodhaven Cultural and Historical Society. Over the course of a year, I organized and hosted over 20 local digitization events, developed tools for teaching digital archives, and incorporated public history methodology into our community events.
